 The Kennel Steintor was named after "Kamenita Vrata" - Steintor (German) means Kamenita Vrata in Croatian and the Stone Gate in English.
The Stone Gate
is one of the four gates ( towers )in the walls surrounding the old Zagreb ( Croatian capital city ) - Gradec, wich were built in the 13th century as part of the city defence system. The Gate is one of the best preserved monuments of the old Zagreb, and its current appearance arose in 1760.
There are many city legends related to this Gate.
